Every student in High School participates in Mini-mester. Mini-mester is designed to fully involve the student in meaningful endeavors and is scheduled the week prior to spring break (March 10-14, 2008).  The hope from these experiences is to impact the hearts and minds of students by challenging their beliefs and assumptions about the world. Mini-mester at JCS has become a favored tradition with students. Many have acquired a new direction and focus as a result of the experience. These opportunities also serve as extensions of the rest of the academic program, helping to establish essential links between what a student learns in the classroom and the world to which they have been called to serve. A brochure will be handed out to all students detailing each trip.  If you are a new student at JCS, please stop by the secondary office as soon as possible to sign up for a Mini-mester trip.  If you have any questions, please call 561.354.1923.

PowerScore SAT Prep Course
Students learn secrets, strategies, and techniques to help them nail the SAT. Simple but devastatingly effective techniques will increase your score immediately. This is not another boring class, but rather the ultimate (and fun!) way to increase your SAT score, leading to your acceptance into the best colleges.  The course will be held on the weekend of April 26th & 27th, just in time for the May SAT test date.  The discounted cost for JCS students is $300 for the two-day session and includes all course materials.  An informational flyer will be distributed to students to bring home.  For more information regarding PowerScore please visit www.powerscore.com.  To sign up for the course of your choice, please call 1-800-545-1750 to receive the discounted price of $300.  Space is limited, so please don't delay.

Graduation - Class of 2008
To answer some of your questions:
Caps/Gowns/Tassles were ordered through Jostens on Tuesday, September 25, 2007.  Every senior was ordered one and this is covered in your graduation fee.

Graduation Announcements were also be ordered through Jostens in early October.  It is now too late to order graduation announcements.  They should arrive to JCS in early March and will delivered to each student when their balance is paid in full.

Graduation:
Baccalaureate will be held at Tequesta's First Baptist Church on Thursday, May 29, 2008, 7:00 p.m.
Graduation will be held at Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens on Saturday, May 31, 2008, 10:00 a.m.  All seniors are required to attend both events.  No tickets will be needed for either ceremony.  Please contact the Student Development Office if you have further questions (email click here).

Clubs at JCS
Interested in starting a club at JCS?  Make sure you have a purpose as well as a school advisor and submit your suggestion to Mrs. Howard.

Sewing Club
JCS offers a Sewing Club led by Mrs. Jenkins and Mrs. Frontero.  The meetings will be held on the second and fourth Monday of each month for students 6-12th grade.

Community Service Club
A new club for the 2007-2008 school year that will provide High School students with community service opportunities for the whole year.  Join our efforts to serve the Lord in our local community.  Please see Mr. Rigell for further questions.

The Council shall have the following purpose:

- To serve the school and the Christian community
- To act as a liaison between the administration, faculty, and student body.
- To provide advocacy for the student body, and be their official voice to the   administration.
- To foster a Christian atmosphere in the school and to promote school spirit
